Did you see where Kellie Pickler shaved her head to support a friend who?s battling breast cancer?
Pickler continues those efforts full force this month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a fundraiser show Saturday night at the Hard Rock Cafe downtown.
She?s particularly excited about the show because her friend, Summer Holt Miller, says she?ll probably feel well enough to travel from North Carolina to attend.
Miller, 36, is a childhood friend who Pickler calls a ?sister.? Miller, married with two children, has had a double mastectomy since getting her diagnosis this summer, and she continues to get chemo treatments.
?I?m so excited! I?m gonna send the bus up for her,? Pickler said. ?I hope we?ll raise a bunch of awareness and have a great night. I?m glad we?re gonna be able to do this together.?
Tickets are $15, and $50 VIP tickets include a meet-and-greet with Pickler beforehand. They are available at www.ticketalternative.com.
The show starts at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hard Rock at First Avenue and Broadway.
