I changed from ADT to Smith Thompson last summer and kicked myself for not doing it sooner. Changing to their wireless system was super easy and far cheaper. (ADT charges a monthly fee for wireless, Smith Thompson does not.) I did have to pay for the wireless transmitter and it was maybe 50 bucks...but I quickly recouped the investment because the monthly rate is so much cheaper. You pay them quarterly, bi yearly or a full year. (55 bucks every 3 months...heck, I was paying ADT that for a MONTH!!!!) I saved so much, I had them install a monitored smoke detector too and that gives me a break on my homeowners insurance as well.
On top of it, the technician who did the work was prompt, friendly and professional.
I'm super pleased with Smith Thompson.
